“Behold I will Do a New Thing”
A Vision of Harvest

“Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”
Isaiah 43:19

“Where there is no vision, the people perish:”
Proverbs 29:18

The vision for Bethlehem-Judah Ministries was brought to fruition after much prayer and time before the Lord.  On May 22, 2005, in Dover, Del., at the Millennium Day Care Center, Bethlehem-Judah Ministries was founded under the leadership and partnering of the Holy Spirit and the church’s Senior Pastor and founder, the Rev. Dr. Wilford L. Oney, Jr.

Our Vision Statement

Bethlehem-Judah Ministries is to be an all-affirming ministry that sincerely welcomes all facets of the community, especially those who are looking for a church to be part of, not just attend.

Our Mission Statement

Bethlehem-Judah Ministries is a ministry of progressive Christians whose mission is to be a prophetic presence in the Church and in the world, loyally proclaiming the radically inclusive love of God and faithfully working for the inclusion of and social justice for all God’s children, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, differing abilities, ethnic background, or economic circumstance.

Statement of Faith and Action

We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are unconditionally loved by God.  All persons are free to enjoy God’s gifts of love, joy and intimacy.

We, the people of Bethlehem-Judah Ministries, are committed to creating a community where all people are welcome regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, differing abilities, ethnic background, or economic circumstance. We seek to use the gifts of all persons in every aspect of congregational life, including designated ministry. We pray for God’s spirit to guide us as we work for reconciliation and justice for all persons in both Church and society.
